OT--Still looking for tow vehicle

I've sold the Jeep and need to find a tow vehicle for my Cafe Racer...

I'm looking for a Chevy/GMC extended cab dually. Vehicle must be white, 4 wheel drive, automatic transmission. I'm still undecided on the motor, but I think the 6.0 gas motor is pretty much out. So, I'm looking for a 7.4 or 8.1 gas or 6.5 turbo diesel or Duramax...Allison would be a big plus, in which case I would consider a higher priced vehicle.

My budget is roughly 20k and I know I'm probably asking alot, but low mileage is a must... I'd seriously consider an older model vehicle if mileage a condition were above average.

How about a 1-ton van made the way you like it. 3500 Series, 4X4 with a 8.1 and 4:11's....tows my boat just fine and anything else I want to do...NO it's not for sale...............drop ship a new Loaded up van or cargo van and let Quigley do it. I would put up a pic.......but can't figure it out just yet.

bouy...you've got mail....

I've been watching E-Bay for quite some time and have an idea of what stuff is going for... that one gotta have it posted actually went for somewhere south of 15k...not a bad deal...but I figure I've gotta get 4 wheel drive...just for the added security

my only problem with ebay and especially the trucks, is that alot of them are from Texas and I'm not too keen on buying a vehicle that far away and having to transport it. any savings gained is lost on transportation/airfare...

thanks

Sean,

how about a White 2000 F350 dually, PSD, crew, 4x4, 8' bed, less than 15,000mi, $22,500

Sean 07-07-2003 02:45 PM

Crew is the 4 door? If so, it's too big...which is too bad...it sounds like a smokin deal!

Sean I wish you had said that a suburban would have worked. My sister just traded her 2002 4x4 8.1 sunroof tv white with tan leather completely loaded sub in and they gave her 25k for it. It had 41,000 miles on it but it was perfect. They traded it because the accountant told them to do it. Forrest

Sean, It's in Osceola, IN (South Bend)

If you are still looking check these guys out. They sell more used F-350's than anyone else. I bought one from them about a year ago I guess to pull my Sonic. Here is a link to all of the ones that they currently have on E-bay. http://cgi6.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...sort=3&rows=50 Lone Star Imports (214) 342-1908

Sean, the dually is definately the way to go! This past weekend was the first time I towed long distance with mine and there is a night and day diff. in handling. No swaying side to side, better breaking and over ride quality. With that 35', don't settle for less!

Now get back to work on that thing!!!

I have a 1994 Chevrolet Crew Cab Dually that I am thinking about selling. Yes, it is a full 4 doors, but that is only about 1 extra foot in length that is really worth it when you have friends in the back on a road trip. I would highly recommend it if you ever intend to put people in the back.
6.5 Turbo Diesel, Auto, Loaded, great condition, 80,000 miles.

Somewhere around $13,000 ?
Truck is in the Chicago area
Would pull a cafe with no problems.
Truck is maroon - not white, but at this price you might not care???
Let me know if you are interested and I can send some photos and more details.

Playn,
Why are you getting rid of the truck? That is an excellent deal!!! If the deal falls through with Sean, please email me at [email protected]
I apologize about that emai, but I can't access OSO at work any more. Did I read the mileage correct?????15,000??? Is that missing a zero?

It isn't my truck. It is a neighbor of my Father's in South Bend. If it wasn't a dually I'd be all over it! The seller takes incredible care of his stuff. I believe he bought it for a business he was starting and now doesn't have a need for it. The milage is correct. It is a 2000 F-350 extended cab, 4x4, PSD, LB, with 14500 miles. $22,500.

If Sean passes on it I'll email you the info.
