Default Anyone hear of Lightning boats?

Browsing the OB cat adds and ran across a couple of "Lightning" cats. Supposedly a FL builder. Anyone heard of them?

I have seen them advertise in the South FLA Boat trader for a couple of years now, but have never seen a boat, so this doesn't help that much.

Thumbs up

That's correct BODYSHOT! It was one FAST S.O.B! Light too. I raced against him in 1996 in the Pro-Stock class. The boat did not like the rough water at all, however, in relatively calm conditions it was a rocket! Pretty cool looking as well.

There used to be a Lightning Marine in Lakeland, FL that was building some center console go fast's that I liked. I don't know if it is the same guy or not but these boats were fast centers and nicely rigged. Wardey

Default bin there

Went to his old shop some years back, likable guy who can splash anything. His main business at the time was in large houseboat pontoons. He's been around quite awhile but as always RESALE is the name of the game. How do you value your investments?

you dont want someone saying 370HSSV-0773H to you when you sell them a boat do you?

Thanks. I found the guy who builds them on Scream&Fly. Seems most people say they are nicly done, but are quasi-copies (ie some mods but not many??).

Think I'd prefer a real Skater, or a 35 Motion if I could find one.

bucknekkid, got to ask if there is a hidden meaning in "370HSSV-0773H", 'cause I sure don't get it.

There is something to "370HSSV-0773H" write on a pice of paper and turn it up side down.

GREG I was able to take a ride in Tom Cat this weekend. It is a 36 skater with big blower motors. The ride was like night and day compared to my 30 motion . One tip, if you can not afford a big skater, don't take a ride. This morning I am balancing my check book and checking my savings account. It seems I am still about half a mil short. Damm!
