How far is it across from the Turtle to the "meeting spot in Burlington? Would you know the compass heading? I bleieve you gave the GPS points earlier but would you do so again? And...is it safe to make it a straight shot across following these headings? thanks buddy.

Shane,
Start is at Thayer Beach in Malletts Bay. About 10 miles from the ramp your putting in. Here is the route. Very Safe avoid the sides (read shore or harder than water crap), you know basic boating stuff!!!

Thats easy , I'll just bring some scuba gear, a prop wrench and a mismatched set of old 28 pitch round ears :)

This is a pic looking WSW of Malletts Bay pass.

Now Shane I will type slowly I know your an ex-racer and all... Aim at the part WITHOUT all the granite blocks that has water flowing thru the gap, just like the boat you see in the picture has done. Also lower the Pepsi can so your view won't be obstructed and DO NOT hit the side of the lake at any time and you should be all right!!!
