On your chart just peaking out of the bottom is Long Pond. I used to vacation there when I was a mere lad........ At the Echo Lake Cabins...... One of the most amazing displays I've ever experienced was an afternoon thunderstorm on that lake with lightning flashing all around the mountains that surround it....wow!
On a more current note...I'd like to stay in Willsboro... How far is Willsboro Bay from the start point?...and what permits do we need to use that ramp? T2x |
Yes GLH the procharged motor spun a bearing Yesterday :(:(. I'm sure the 400 plus miles I put on her this spring with the bad water flow didn't help:(:(, But less than 24 Hrs later, she's back in the water with a stock engine:D. Thanks to a friend of mine that kept his stock engine after putting a Lingenfilter engine in his boat.... I'm in the very low 60 mph, but I didn't want to rush fixing the big motor. I'll have plenty of time this winter to make it even better than before:D:D
Where still in for the 2 cnd |

There is a beautiful state ramp at the bottom of the bay with plenty of parking, we checked it out about 1 month ago. Found this on NY state web about public ramps others are listed on Lake Champlain: http://www.dec.state.ny.us/website/d.../foe4cbl2.html (D) - Essex County, Willsboro Bay. On County Route 27 on east side of bay, 3 miles north of the Village of Willsboro. Hard surface launching ramp. Parking for 100 cars and trailers. Pumpout. and here is the location of the place just hit directions from that page, I imagine coming from the south or West you would save at least 60-70 miles trailering. This is also a very low traffic area if your wondering about safety no population at all around there just ask BatGirl she's from around there and her parents live on the lake in that location. Willsboro Point The route from the ramp to the start is as follows in the picture the meeting place is actually west of the peninsula where the green cube is. |
It is located on the peninsula at the bottom of the bay on the east side in line with the "o" of "copyright".
