Default RPBA Poker Run- Who's going?

Who is going to the Richmond Poker Run? My wife's band got booked for a gig that weekend so she is out. So I think that Biggus might be coming down for it. If not, I'll bring one of my homies with me. I'm really looking forward to it.

I'm registered and ready to play.....mentally that is. I just discovered I have a worn gimbal ring at the top swivel pin. No one's got'em here locally so I've got my fingers crossed I can get one in and installed....

BUT! If all goes well I'm gonna try and come up river early afternoon on Friday to overnight and avoid the last minute meeting rush...

Two weeks after that is the Little Creek Regatta run here in Hampton Roads www.littlecreekregatta.org

Hey Rick,
What's up buddie I was kind of thinking about maybe towing down on Friday evening and sleeping on the boat. Do they have slips or can I anchor out? I'll give you a call next week and we'll take it from there.

There's a couple of Marina's with Jordan Point being the one I had in mind. Otherwise, up and around the corner is the sand-pits for anchoring and sleeping and I'm sure they'll be some fun there Friday afternoon...We'll all be in touch...

There are only two places I can think of that have transient slips - Jordan Point and Hopewell Yacht. The last I heard Jordan is booked, but you can try them anyway.

I'll be staying on the river Friday night with a small fan and my jumper-pack. I can act as "tour director" for anyone that wants to do the same.

If you can, attend the first Captain's meeting Friday at 7pm so you can sleep in Saturday morning (I wish I could).

Does Anchor Point have Transient slips? They are just a few minutes past Hopewell Yacht club (back up river) but you need to put in at Hopewell as they don’t have a ramp. Man, I sure wish I could have gotten my ducks in a row to do this run. Next summer, I will be much more coordinated in my boating efforts!
