Just for fun can you name the colors and what they are used for on the engine harness.

Hopefully you can see the picture clearly.

Not off the top of my head. However, Red is + Black is - and the rest you'd better hope the other side of that harness matches...

Tan With the Blue stripe could be watter temp?:confused:

Purple is 12v after the ignition switch to power guages and blue is usually 12v as in dash lights

Black= ground
Brown=ref electrode, Mercathode
Orange=alternator output OR
anode electrode, Mercathode
Lt. blue/white=Trim up switch
Gray= tach signal
Green/white=Trim down switch
Tan= water temp sender
Lt. blue= oil press sender
Pink= fuel gauge sender
Brown/white=oil temp gauge
Purple/white= Trim trailer switch
Red= 12v (hot)
Red/purple= 12v (fused)
Purple/yellow= Ballast bypass
Purple= Ignition switch (+12v)
Yellow/red
switch= Starter switch to starter solenoid to neutral start
