Cincy Poker Run
 

I have friend that is a photographer, If anyone wants pictures from the run, - I can put you in touch with him. He's got next weekend open and would likely come out just to shoot and have a good time. Might be good for promotion packages.

I am sure I'll be there for the party but probably will not run. We actually put the Sunsation back together but have not taken it out for a "shakedown" cruise yet. But come to think of it a pokerrun would be one hell of a shakedown cruise. I'll see you all there.

From the registrations looks like there will be a good turnout. Watertown's depth is good (even at pool stage). Forecast for next week looks good as well...

Forecast is clean all week, river leer should go down. It is forecasted to be under 30' by the end of the week, that is plenty good. Always a great turnout, see you guys there.

Just a suggestion, but:

Given the recent events (and resultant bad PR) in Cincinnati a few weeks ago, maybe you should consider encouraging the winners to donate all or part of their winnings to those that were injured, or to a Safe Boating Foundation. When we did the Inaugural Philadelphia Poker Run on September 15, 2001, our winners (voluntarily) donated every penny to the 9/11 funds...

Not sure how well it will fly, especially considering that there will be alot of out-of-towners there, but I'll talk to the event organizor and see what he says. Maybe see if the organizor can donate some funds?

I have been looking for your write up in the Cincy Enq, but I have not seen it. I could have missed it, because I was out of town a few days. I'll keep looking, thanks for your help and advice, it is certainly appreciated.

Allan - The reporter told me that he sent the letter to the editorial department, but it was not selected to be published, probably because local letters got priority over out-of-towners. No problem. Have fun with your Poker Run!

You guys looked great with another checkerd flag this weeked in Mentor... then saw you take off for the sunset cruise on Lake Erie. See you this weekend.

C-Spray....I have not heard how they are doing. The local media pretty much swept this away as quickly as the pounced on it. The last I heard, about a week ago, was that they all had been treated and released except one victim, who was still recovering from arm injuries of some sort. Not sure if he/she has a 100% prognosis or not.

If I find out anymore info, I will pass it along.

Again, thanks for helping our cause. It is a shame your letter did not make it's way to print, that was a very eloquent writting.

I am coming to the poker run this weekend. I have a couple of questions for you local guys.

Do I need to run mufflers?

Do you know if they will have slips for us or do I need to make arrangements?

Not sure on the slips. I think you would be okay to tie up at Watertown for the night though.

They have slips. Request one when you send in the application. All the slips will be marked before hand hopefully.

Yup, they head out around 2pm.

Just wanted to let everyone know that the poker run boats will have slips available (at least those that pre-registered) at Watertown.

1:00 pm - Depart for Dan's Marina
3:00 pm - Motor Coach pickup from Dan's Marina to Belltara
6:00 pm - Motor Coach departs from Belltara and returns to Dan's Marina
9:00 pm - PARTY! Watertown Yacht Club


Saturday, July 19th:

10:00am - MANDATORY Safety Meeting
11:00am - Let the Poker Run begin!!!!!
