Doesnt really seem fair, the pick-ups are combineing three vehicles in one catagory:confused:


Also, I am surprised the Impala ranked on the list, I drive that for work everyday and I am not the least bit impressed.

I just bought a new GMC I picked it over the Ford and Dodge (drove all three) it is a great truck the duramax allison trany is great. I know if you add the Chevy to the GMC it is beating the F150

I'd say Ford is doing a hell of a job when they're up against 2 divisions of GM.

Just my 2 cents.

Anybody want any more statistics on sales of any model vehicle? Let me know before I throw out this edition of Automotive News.

A lot of fleet vehicles are Chevy over GMC. I think that has to account for the sale of the 'ugly' over the 'athsetically pleasing'. Chevy is generally a few bucks cheaper than GMC, just as Chevy is a few bucks cheaper than Pontiacs. GM shoots themselves in the foot by having the two divisions and not being able to add them together, as Ford can and does use their numbers in all of their advertising campaigns. The real deal is there are more new GM trucks our there; period. Personally, I like the variety. 99% sure my HD when purchased, will be a GMC. But then again, I always like Pontiacs better too.

I'd like to see the Duramax, Cummins, and Powerstroke sales numbers of 2003.

You're looking at total light truck sales which includes all the manufacturers mini vans, 15 passenger vans, cargo vans, suvs, etc. I believe everybody here was referring to Ford, Chevy, GMC and Dodge Pickups.

Out of all the cars here.....the Honda Accord and Civic would be on top, if there weren't so many fleet sales to rental companies as myself. The rental fleets are full of Camry, Corolla, Taurus and Impala cars, which we cycle twice a year on a guaranteed repurchase program from the manufacturers. We only have to hold a car for 6 months. Honda has no fleet allocation.
