Can any one explain to TopDJ what this is between the deck port and the cabin door, and its use in the celing of my stabincabin :D 1995 23' Welcraft Nova Spyder. Thanks Guys. Rag's

It appears to be structural support for the deck....or a place to gain some leverage while...um...um...you know.
