Hyper, wish I'd have known you were looking for a car.Just sold my 77 T/A 6.6 4 spd for a grand.Liability shouldn't be too bad and these cars are easy to work on.Good move.Stay away from those Jap car hot rods.Only bad thing with the Pontiac is parts are higher than Camaros or Z28s but worst case won't cost near as much as Jap cars.

a friend of mine has one he dropped in a 455 running about 450 hp. it is one fast care he loves to dust off mustang cobras and he laughs his a$$ off every time we pull up next to a jap car with one of those big tails and the chrome coffee can on the muffler that make them go so fast. by the way why the hell would you want rear downforce on a front wheel drive car anyway?

Mikev,My wife and I were doing some last minute shopping in Douglasville,GA for Xmas 2000.There was an Escort with an aluminum spoiler on the back that looked straight from Nascar.I commented to my wife that Ford Escorts must be hell on wheels since I last rode in one to require a spoiler like that.I didn't see the guy behind me who owned the car until after the comment.Needless to say I received some serious eat ***and die looks!I still laugh about that one.
