I raced for the USCF (United States Cycling Federation) for years, albiet nowhere near Lance's level, but I can understand the man's mentality and physical prowess. Very difficult sport to participate in, even more to be successful.
However, it ain't over 'till it's over, he has a strong challenger pushing him, but that's what's going to make him even better.

Audacity...I pretty much stuck to the northeast and mid-Atlantic races. Never did Killington, but there was some stage races in Mass I participated in. Mostly one day road races and criteriems. Fun times, I loved the anticipation at the beginning of a race, only to have all the butterfly's dissapear once you tightened up your straps (remember straps? I guess that dates me )
