Some guy named Jim who I met back in the 80's is building them on Lake Lanier. Were real popular in the jet version at that time. I had a friend that was really into them back then and couldn't say enough good about them. Last time I saw Jim was when Richie Rich was Mr. Offshore and was supposedly buying them out but we all know that story don't we.

The owner was in Savannah at the poker run. I believe the boat attached below may be his. It is a 34' Python that is yellow with tweety bird on the side (I think tweety). Sorry it isn't a better picture!!

I have known several people that had 24's and been very happy with them as lake boats. I know of one 24 that runs around 92-94 MPH on Lake Hartwell. Not sure how the bigger boats are as Ocean boats but the little one's are good small lake boats. The last one I rode on had a 454 blower motor and would run around 80 MPH.

I have had an 89 24 foot python for 4 years now and for the size i love it. It has a 435hp 502 and runs 72-73 mph with a 23p prop it needs a 25p since i put the 502 in. It handles the holiday weekend swells at lanier well and will run with alot of the more expensive boats. I am trying to get into a bigger boat but will probably keep the python forever because of versatility.
