Hello ......... 42 Outerlimits !!!!!!!!!
In that price range you should be able to put a deal together on a few of the couple year old 42's that are hanging around. |

Hi Jim !!!!
The cabins are very nice ... plenty of headroom ... check out their website !!!!!! |
The outerlimits 42 or the donzi 45 would probably do it ! Not sure how the donzu handles but I know it runs pretty fast . You WILL need big drives on any of these you buy !
A friend of mine has a 1992 or 94 (can't remember) 45 sonic with 3-502's and bravos. fully loaded , tons of head room and cockpit space. I think it runs low 70's. It's for sale for around $100k . Very low ours , lift kept, always shrink wrapped, older man owes it . Never abused. with a new trailer too ! If you had any interest e-mail me : [email protected] Joe |
I would like to take a look at the Outerlimits as well as the Donzi. What kind of hp do I need to get into the high 80's low 90's? Can I get into a 1 year or 2 year old Outerlimits in that range?
I also heard that about the Black Thunders. |
'01 45 Sonic
Hey Diesel,
I know you wanted twins; not trips, but you can go 90 mph reliably, w/trip 575/boxes, 6'2" headroom, gen, AC in a 45 Sonic, Just happen to have one available with about 70 hrs., for a whole bunch less than your target budget. Very clean boat as well. I'd even consider a trade if you are in that position! Call or PM me if you're interested. Hugh/Offshore Performance 410-827-7853 |
Anything in that size range and speed with a big cabin is going to destroy a bravo style drive. We can get you there with trips either 525's or 575's and the drives hold on reasonably well. But if you really want what you're looking for you gotta go with the VI's.
I guess nobody has gotten around to plugging Nor-Tech so I'll have to do it myself. Go to our web-site nor-techboats.com and go to boats then click on "more photographs" and you can see a lot of detail shots of the 4300. There's a lot of advice on this thread but what you need to do is ride in everything you can and take a good hard look at what's under the skin before you make your decision. There are a few Donzi 45ZX listed on yachtworld and boat trader that are new or barely used for arourd $250K take the extra $$$ and add Whipples and beef up the drives and you should be running in the 90s well within your budget. If you can find a Daytona edition it will help as they are lighter with the kevlar hull, also they have extension boxes and run low 80's with stock triple HP500EFIs. The 45ZX has 6'4" headroom in the cabin, wetbar in the cockpit and a monster engine room.

OK,
Hey guess what? I have a 2000 Daytona that we took on trade. 500's extension boxes, blue hull, white deck. Very affordable. Terry |
