Kilo runsi n N.C. 202mph

I heard that Dave Scott and J.T. ran 202 mph. Was that an average?
I hope thay ran that well it looks like they can give Callan a run for their money.
Did anyone else set records?

the 200 mark was their big goal. i hope they can edge out callan. i just dig piston power over turbines.

mpally 08-01-2003 06:40 PM

Is this true? That is great if they did get to 200.

tachyon 08-01-2003 07:09 PM

Two way average was 198.5mph.

Congratulations Dave & JT!

mpally 08-01-2003 07:18 PM

That sucks. I was hoping that there two way was 202. Oh well, still a hell of an accomplishment.

burtandnancy 08-01-2003 09:29 PM

I read somewhere that Callen decided not to run after all...?

SPITFIRE 08-01-2003 09:51 PM

thats great news but still don't think they'll edge out callan with the turbines. its just not an apples to apples race. they shouldn't even be compared.

candyman35 08-01-2003 11:21 PM

198.5! WOW! Congratulations.

KiloKat 08-06-2003 07:20 AM

Shifter - I read in another post somewhere that you were looking for pictures of the kilo/race. Should have some digital shots soon. Will post a few when available.
As far as Dave Callan's turbine boat, I wouldn't want our kilo to take anything away from those guys. They have done a great job with their boats and I'm sure they will be very competitive and extremely fast in any situation. They are really a class act.

Congrats on the milestone. I know how hard and how long you worked on that goal. Time to enjoy the glory. Otto

Shane 08-06-2003 07:56 AM

Mr. Scott,

That is truly a milestone to behold! Congratulations on your record run and best wishes for a SAFE and successful remainder of your season.

KiloKat 08-06-2003 08:03 AM

A very sincere 'Thank You" to everyone for the kind comments.

shifter 08-06-2003 12:36 PM

Congratulations Dave! Are you going to have a rear facing view in the cockpit? I got to see it run in Savannah last year and it was impressive. I want to see it at 200 I know there is a big difference. Are you going to Bonneville?

BLee 08-06-2003 01:34 PM

I know you have to have 2 passes with an average of 200  , but one pass at 202 is good enough for me.

The 2 pass rule should be that the best run of the 2 counts.

If you did it once, you did it. Congratulations fellas.

Moisture-Missil 08-06-2003 05:02 PM

Nothing like seeing a rooster tail coming out of the water fifty yards behind the boat. IT WAS AWESOME!!!

Airpacker 08-06-2003 05:29 PM

Dam we need pics !!! Congratulations on an extremely impressive feat.
