spybot was an eye opener for me, loads of crap on my machine that was probably just sucking more crap out of the internet. I am going to try a couple of the free pop up killers and monitor my system with spybot for a few weeks until I get tired of that, then just let everything happen on its own and .....

SEt up Spybot to run in full auto silent mode once you get tired of the little warnings popping up. Update and immunize often to block the latest spyware.

Heres a link to the popup killer I use. Its free and has a decent database. If you get a popup, just right click on the bullsey in you tray and add the popup to the list. Real simple.
