Latham marine if they still make it has a wheel with small momentary rockers molded into it. Works great.
Be cautious about any generic keyfob remote system. Most of them rely on AM technology wich is very succeptable to interferance. Trim pump motor noise etc.

Intyeractive: Sounds like you are having your act together and your PIC programming down pat.
In 2.0 you might do a "state preserve" (switch something off with the fob, power down, power back up, the thing is still off.) For non-momentary stuff, state preservation after power-up-reset is a problem with these things.
I'm in the market. Keep me in mind.
