The Sub is up and almost running - guess how fast and win!
One engine is in and the other (barring a disaster or mechanic stupidity) will be in tomorrow.
1988 32' Pachanga with brand spanky new 575hp/NA502's, Bravo I's, and Merc 26 inch props. She was running a GPS speed of 58mph with 330hp/454's + Alphas and 23 inch Cleavers...down river with a 6 mph wind at our backs.;) :D Who can guess closest how fast she'll go with the new setup? My guess....73mph. |
How fast was the river current..........without that, we'll never know what the true speed was before.
|
Let's see. 23 cleavers, 1.5 ratio, 58mph, I'd guess about 4500 rpm would put you at 11% prop slip.
So, 26 cleavers, 1.5 ratio, 5200 rpm? and 11% prop slip I say 76 mph |
I say it will still be faster on the trailer!!!

I think the 73mph will be pretty close. Maybe a little slower till you get the props dialed in.
|
71mph here :)
|
36.7mph
