That's why you have a boat surveyed before you finalize the deal.
You see the surveyor tries to tell you what's wrong with the boat, you really want the boat and don't want to hear any of this bullsh*t, you feel better and more responsible because you're paying this guy, and when it's all said and done you buy the boat anyway but have somebody to blame for all the sh*t that went wrong.

You're just going to get into a wizzin contest over whether he lied or you misunderstood. Thing you also kinda need to think about: What performance boat manufacturer warranties even a NEW boat for as long as you've had that one? You will only end up with no compensation and an upset stomach if you pursue it, I think. Wishing you a quality repair at a reasonable price. --- Jer
