As far as the gas is concerned, I'm coming out of a Tahoe with a 5.7 that got about 12-14 mpg. The burb should get 10-12?... It's the move from a 30 gallon tank to 42 gallons that will shock the pocket. I think the key is not to let it get below 1/2 tank.

Here is a picture of the compresser under the hood for the air bag system
I also found out (from the paperwork that i found) that the truck has a "Gale Banks engineering Power Pack" consisting of headers, exhaust, some special air intake thing and a chip.

You will be amazed at the difference going to a 3/4 ton and a big block. The brake controller has a slide that you can operate the trailer brakes only with. I used to use it when braking on wet roads. Also, if you start swaying on the highway, a touch on the trailer brakes will straighten it out.

The dealer gave me a voucher to go and fill it up last night because it was " runnin' on fumes". It turns out that it is a 44 gallon tank and it took 43.6 to fill it up $68.60 The good news is that this Gale Banks power Pack is suppossed to give it 10% better fuel economy , an additional 73+HP and 85 ft. lbs. of torque.

Craig, I bought a set of the new style GM aluminum wheels on E-Bay. Less weight and they look great!! I uped the tire size to a 285/75R16 Nitto Terra Grappler. The tires are great in the rain and aren't very noisey. I have a 3.73 gear and haven't noticed any performance loss with the tire size. Nice truck ....Good Luck!!!
