Where to find 5" diameter exhuat tips?

I've been trying to find 5" inch exhaust tips and I can't seem to find anything. Anybody know?

Mad Hatter 08-06-2003 03:19 PM

I'll check that out thanks. Anyone else?

Mad Hatter 08-06-2003 03:21 PM

Is that a muffler set up or just plain tips? I'm looking for tips.

I looked at rex and imco, at least on the website. I'm looking for 5" i.d. tips. Is stainless marine pretty expensive?

HERE IS THE ANSWER YOU`VE BEEN WAITING FOR:

I bought my 5" tips from CP Performance. They are polished stainless. They had to make them, these are not an "on the shelf" item. They are 13" overall with 5" on one side of flange and 8" on other. They are cut with a 30* slant and have internal "burn-proof" flaps. I received them 2 weeks after I ordered them. Cost was $145 each.
I`m sure they can be made to your specs. I`ve had them 2 summers and they still look new after a little spit shine.
By the way, this was the least expensive place I found at the time. I buy plenty from them, they usually offer the lowest price on marine performance parts.
Hope this helps!
Donnie

Guess what I have sitting in my garage???????
I believe they are 5" tips off F2 Wild Child.
We replaced them when we went to full length solid pipes .
I will check them later

Hi MadHatter. DJD will cut you a fair deal on them. He's a straight shooter.

Mad Hatter 08-07-2003 10:14 AM

Aw shucks, thanks man. Hey crazy horse, you followed me all the way to port sheldon a couple weeks ago, I was hoping for a race! Actually I thought you were my Dad until you turned off.

leviathan 08-07-2003 10:52 AM

I've bought the five inch tips from stainless marine, they hold them in stock, angled or straight flange, angled or straight tips! a lot dearer than a four inch tip tho'

Crazyhorse 08-07-2003 11:40 AM

What gave me away? My boat doesn't stand out,,,,,,,

Mad Hatter 08-07-2003 11:41 PM

Psshh, no not all. I could tell from a ways back that it was a cig so I thought it was my Dad catching me, then I didn't see any red on the bow. I was just like what do we have here!?

Any word on the tips DJD?

rbtnt 08-08-2003 06:38 PM

I have a friend with 2 pair of 5" straight cut tips with Teague flappers that are brand new. Let me know if your other deal does not pan out.

These are 4.5" tips, not 5" as stated above.

Mad Hatter 08-11-2003 08:19 AM

rbtnt, yes I need them. internal or external flappers?

rbtnt 08-11-2003 09:07 PM

My mistake, they are 4.5" tips.

Sorry for the confusion.

Mad Hatter 08-11-2003 09:46 PM

Anybody know if stainless marine has a website?

rbtnt 08-11-2003 09:50 PM

Here it is.
