Boater Killed in Accident on Long Island
I am writing this message so that hopefully no one else dies in such a needless way. A next door neighbor of mine was out in his Boston Whaler center console when a large wake hit the boat and thru him over the side. He was fine when he surfaced, until HIS boat which was still running in a circle, hit and killed him. I know that lifejackets are the most discussed when accidents occur on the water and not enough about KILL switches, myself included. This was a wake up a call to me and I hope that I can pass this on to all of you so that his tragic accident doesn't happen again.

I installed kill switches on two boats I own that didn't have them. If I'm lucky enough to survive the ejection, the last thing I want is the boat coming back at me. Also, with a kill switch, I may be able to swim back to the boat.
Very sorry to hear about your freind, hopefully others will take heed.

Robbie,
Sorry to hear about your friend. I always wear my kill switch. I believe it's called the "circle of death" when a boat comes back around like that unmanned.
Just a terrible shame for something like this to happen.
