Anyone use these engins in a boat???
This guy has been all over the place in the north east . if you go to any national car show or large automotive event he will be there reving the hell out of his engines every hour drawing a croud from miles away. He will stand between two engines with open headers in a trailer reving them to 6000 rpm. The man must be deaf. If you seen him you will know what I am talking about.
I seen the engines and they look impressive for a street rod but what about reliability in a boat???? I talked with Al at the Adirondack nationals and he said that people are using his engines for marine use.
Anyone know of anyone using his products?????
The seem cheep , but are they made cheep????

Am i missing something here? the prices dont look bad at all and an extra $500 you can get a 8-71 BDS blower??? who would pass that up!?!?!?

JUNK PARTS I know guys that that put them in there HOT RODS !!!! I see him at car show/swapmeets buying old parts all the time blower moters for about $6500.00 NO WAY!!! You only get what you pay for.

In all seriousness, these look like remans. If you notice, they offer double roller timing chains on their 454s. Gen VI 454 blocks will not normally take a double roller timing chain, leading me to believe they are older MkIV or Gen V blocks that I don't think are made anymore.
Also, the 671 blower on the 454 with a two bolt main and an iron crank has "grenade" written all over it.

Thats 6000 NO LOAD rpm.
Try that in your boat..... BOOOOMMM or BANG or CLANK.
On the street it's cool to drive over your crank once and a while , it gives the guys some thing to talk about at the local hang out !
I wouldn't want to put a crank thru the hull though!
Don't forget all the head work (especially valve seat work) required to run high rpm/ high loads for extended periods.
There really is are reasons why we pay more for QUALITY machine work.
Try that in your boat..... BOOOOMMM or BANG or CLANK.
