Steve

I dont know if you are confusing me with someone or not, I do structural analysis on aircraft, not boats. I am always interested to learn if and how my trade is applied to other fields. Im not throwing darts.

But, by all means, use the actual stack up for each area of investigation. We run into the grey area when dealing with "non-perfect" structure, either by damage or manufacture. So the vendor data is of little use at that point and we rely on in-house test results. Lots of statistical analysis goes into that effort and it is often affectionately reffered to as a black art.

Miller those were done before the rules were changed The later #8 Boat (tandem)was at the time UIM legal and inspected..

The cockpit reinforcement was mostly bagged Kevlar/S glass the S glass I like The Kevlar well was because of the rules BTW they wanted Airex core used for this area Also Fine with me.I had a shop full of it.

like on the UIM stuff we have a VEE deflector system in front of the drivers area also.. I will start with the seats they from Off road racing you could drop from the ceiling in them really good suspension.

Now the second reason was a steel frame that made mounting real easy I had glassed in long Metal receivers that received the seat frames..There was an Roll bar also mounted to this affair .. the aft Bulkhead was a special double reinforced Piece.

The sides were against full height AirexKevlar/S-glass stringers In that area that received the Canopies mounting..

These boats when mounting anything to them a Hard spot must be created and planed for.

tachy wasn't reffering to you. It was the idiot with 6 posts that was causing trouble.

i've seen your screen name before many times. Never realized who you were.

You've got some serious brass ones to run your boat at 200.

Dewclaws:
At Point Pleasant NJ

The 40 you were mentioning Was Running against Special Edition a 35 Jaguar Both Boats lapped the field Including 41 Apaches Seas 2-4 & 4-5’s The 40 won in front of Special Edition

Special Edition was a 4 time National Champion. That 40 went on to win the National Championship and then the world US Offshore. Then Again ran in 99 SB National Champion.

Id say it runs just fine.

Here another point of Interest in 20 years Jack can Boast the fact that no Injuries none not even a busted fingernail. NO ONE HURT EVER...
