Just thought I`d post about a very positive experience I had with a high performance marine engine builder.

On the fourth of July I blew a motor in my Top Gun. Made a call to DME, Dorr`s Marine Engines in Windham, Maine. (only a 15 min ride from me) told him my problem and he took the boat in immediately:D pulled the motor out and had it torn down the next day. Found a hole in the block and many other nasty problems. Thanks to Nevrenuff, I got another block and heads to work with. Dorr`s bored the block and installed all new valves and built up a fresh motor for me within 3 weeks!

I am so impressed with how Tim Dorr runs his business! He is at the top of his game and he is a fantastic person to do business with and his attention to detail is amazing.

It`s nice to do business with someone who not only is a fantastic mechanic, but also an honest business man too. Pretty rare in this hobby!

We put the boat in the water this morning and I just drove it home, she runs like a clock.

If anyone is looking to have any motor work done I highly recommend Dorr`s Marine Engines

You bet I`m pumped!:D Just got in from a fun night of running the Cig, put about 5 hrs on it today and as I mentioned above, I`m floored at how smooth everything went. I could not be happier with the work that was done,and yes the motors are still the same color yellow.

Brian, I`d love to do the 1000 Islands run but I still do not have a trailer.

Played with the Cig all weekend and everything is perfect. Sure is refreshing to do business with someone who knows thier stuff and makes it happen!!!

I highly recommend Dorr`s Engines, don`t be afraid to tow your boat north for motor work! :D
