You could go the old fashion route and take the kids out to the ballgame. Our Devil Rays have been playing much better as of late.

QoS,
ROFLMAO!!!! :D :D |
Try going to the top of the Hilton. The whole interior bar revolves around, and you get a nice view of the beach & strip.
Also Ft. Desota is kinda cool. The long pier is also kinda neat. They closed the botanical gardens which was cool, water and animals and stuff. The Don Ceasar is also neat. If your into it there used to be an all nude beach past the Don. The Brown Derby used to be a good joint to eat at. The Tiki bars ( the Swigwam ) on the beach are also pretty good. Great Beef sandwiches.......Lots of places to go in St. Pete. If you like Pizza, there is a place right next to the Holiday in at the Corner of 34th & & 275. You have to go off of the beach and towards 275. There used a awesome BBQ place way down 34th st called Big Tims. You also need to take a ride over Sunshine Skyway Bridge..really neat. We used to go every summer for 10 years or more for weeks at a time. Know the area pretty good. Have not been in 4-5 years though, so there is going to be some changes...... Have fun ! |
hey wich trade winds are you staying at, one of them is very nice, and one is a dump.
|
It better be the nice one!! It is the one with 4 or 5 different buildings. I got a suite that is on the beach and looked at their web site and it looked pretty nice.
If I get there and there is a half empty pool full of sludge I will be throwing someone in it.:hothead: The top of the hilton sounds like fun. I won't tell my wife it turns and tell her she's seeing thinks after a couple of drinks:p |
oh ok that is the nice one, there is another trade winds on treasure island that is a small mom and pop operation, it is ok if you are on a budget.

St Pete
Tradewinds is a real nice place to stay. Check out Ft De Soto Park as it has some of the nicest beaches. You are real close to the Interstate & Tampa is not far, Busch Gardens, Lowry Park Zoo & Aquarium.
Spectre & AMT cats, wellcraft are built in this area of Tampabay. On St Pete Beach is a nice little local Restaurant on the ICW called Bridgeview(Opp Leverocks on Corey Ave.) Unfortunately we will be out of town this week, otherwise I would offer you ride around local area. There again if we showed you all we have to offer you would want to move here:D John |
 John's Pass is fun, restaurants, shops, fishing charters, Eat at Gator's
:p The Hurricane Restaurant, St Pete Beach, (Pass-A-Grill Beach) has the best Sunsets on the top floor. They post the time the Sun will be setting, today's sunset 8:06. :doggy:Have fun. |
I'm pretty sure the revolving Hilton is now a Holiday Inn, and the last time I was there, the revolver wasn't working. Real nice view from there.
