Who has the best crabcake on the Chesapeake Bay
Taking a poll on which restaurant on the Chesapeake Bay and its tributarys that is accessible by boat has the best crabcake.
|
Stoney's on the Pax River.

I think Middletons Tavern at city dock has the best crab cakes. But for a nice place to stop with good crab cakes too, I usually go to Magothy Seafood on Mill Creek off the Magothy. Of course, I just happen to live a little way up Mill Creek myself.

Would have to agree that Stoney's on Pax River and now on Solomons Island has best crabcake on the Chesapeake and I would venture to say probably the best that I have ever had.

I've got to agree on Stoney's for the crabcake. However it's just not worth the $150-200 for gas to get there for me:D :D :D So i'll vote for Captain Billy's:D

If you want to go by car though; Timbuktu near Ft. Meade has my vote hands down.
|
Stoney's has my vote.

How about the "Crab Shack" on the Newport News side of the James River Bridge.

Originally posted by Dave M Do you think Captain Billy's is as good as it used to be? I would give them an "A" for atmosphere, but I think their food is so-so. P.S. Will we see your new Cig on the Potomac this season? My name is Craig and I'm addicted to BACKFINS.:D :D "If I had a dollar for each of those red drinks........ It's not even close to the "good ole days", but I've been going there for over 20 years. I won't know for a few weeks what our timeline on the Cig will be:cool:  I like to do things right the first time (engines) :D :D |
