We went right through one with our 136 ft tug in the Atlantic once. It swept right over the barge we were towing too. Afterwards, I opened the back door of the pilot house and took a picture. It was just like being under water. It was 1/4 mile wide measured by the radar. Totally amazing. Ive chased them around in Lake Erie but never caught up with one (thankfully).
