Thanks Too Old

and everyone else that turned me onto Stainless Marine. Got the manifolds installed after having to pull the motors to get the old merc manifolds off. Not thinking and not working on EFI motors much we ordered the risers with the mounts on them for the shift and oil filter. Called Stainless yesterday and two new sets of risers minus plates plus a UPS call tag to return the un-needed risers arrived this morning.

Definitely a class act.

Thanks again!!!

Cool!
Question, why did you have to pull the motors?
I'm thinking about replacing my merc exhaust with Gils this winter, but don't want to have to pull one of the motors to do it. Did yours have studs on them?

BTW, mine are twin 502 EFI's.
Thanks

Probably rusty bolts or could not reach the back bolts. Just a guess?

When I upgrade my motors I will be using Stainless. I have heard nothing but good things.

Very rusty bolts, some of them were down to 3/8". The hammer was swinging getting them off. Not sure if the job was even possible with the motors in the boat, even if it was, we saved a lot of time by just pulling them. The ez-out sockets that you beat on the end of the bolt are a must for this job.

When you're looking at the Gils also look at the Stainless Marine products. The company is first class!!!

Stainless Marine did some custom work a few months back on the race boat and they are the BEST
