Bill, Don and all the guys at the Lake are the best...

THEJOKER 08-15-2003 11:28 AM

Yes the folks at Lake X are the best. I spent many weeks there testing. Man I thought I was in heaven! Looks like the Dragon is breathing some fire! BH

Brad 08-15-2003 11:30 AM

I love the lines on that boat!

Steve 1 08-15-2003 11:32 AM

Keep the pictures coming!

Mad Hatter 08-15-2003 12:25 PM

Lookin' good! Any word on handling?

Sonicdriver 08-15-2003 12:50 PM

is the big unvieling going to be at the 1000 islands?

Sean 08-15-2003 01:26 PM

see, that's one thing that impresses me about Dragon and Craig and crew...they didn't bring some fancy boat to the lake with graphics all over it...

they brought the boat there for some serious no bull, no flash, testing. it says alot to me that they care about performance first and graphics last...

good work guys, cant wait to see the final numbers, but i've heard it's running 90 first time out of the box...with more left in her...

Back4More 08-15-2003 01:26 PM

Gives me an idea.....

Cool! Results soon?
About how much for a Lake X dial-in?:eureka:

RollWithIt 08-15-2003 02:19 PM

Very impressive. I want one. Do you think I could put it on lay-away??

cbdragon 08-15-2003 04:56 PM

Why not.....thanks everyone. There are still a few changes as you would expect but we really like it. Everyone did a great job to get it where it is. cb

puder 08-15-2003 05:10 PM

looks pretty snazy to me!

Great Work Craig!
It`s been great following this project and seeing it in the water for the first time. By the way It`s turning out, It would appear that you have done your homework well.

Thanks again. We have had the right people so far. I forgot to mention that we ran it with 5 people. The back seat or sitting in the back is great. Sun, no wind, easy too see, deep and feels safe. Craig

Craig,

Great job on a fantastic project.

Hmmmm - That canopy looks familiar.....

You're right about the canopy/back seat ride, Craig. You can arrive for dinner or the opera after a high-speed ride without even mussing up The Admiral's hair. :D

Here is an early shot, is it part of the deck or add-on? They both look good. cb

One more. They are both very nice similar yet different. And you are correct to ride in the front or back is great. I always like those boats and they say they are real fun to run. Maybe someday I could go for a ride. Craig

Trade you rides any day.

Wow - the similarities are amazing. My hull was designed to accept either front/back seating with an F16 canopy(like the Rain-X race boat), or a side-by-side pleasure interior. The entire interior, including the windshield fairing, is a one-piece, drop-in insert. It is screwed, bonded and laminated to the hull, bulkheads, and stringers, but not actually part of the mold. The roof, however, is supported by 2" aluminum tubing. I wish my roof was as well-integrated as the Dragon - very stylish and, I'm sure, strong. (Nice lamination work, by the way - looks like it was pre-preg and autoclaved.)

Bet this view looks familiar, too: (Yes - that's an A/C vent. You DID A/C the Dragon, didn't you? :D )

cbdragon 08-17-2003 04:52 PM

Yes, on the lamination. Split, the center is a walk way or sit down port/starboard post 27. You climb over nothing. Dual helm behind the dash. T&S are the seat base, also post 27. As they say anytime.....Let Ride. Craig

Congrats Craig!!! Looking good. When are you going to bring one out west?? Tell Lynda Kelly and I say hello.
