If I'm not mistaken, that's an '04 top gun from right here in Oklahoma. You first pic you've got it and 47' Fountain tied up, they're both Grand Lake regulars. I'm sure cigracer will check in with an update when he returns.

Hey ya'll! Just got back. Yes, the Top Gun was one of Grand Lakes finest and had a crowd around it everywhere we went.

The Orange and purple 39 MTI in post 26 wasn't Al Copelands. It was just a guy. We met him at the hotel pool........with the strippers he rented. ;)

Copeland's turbine burned really bad that evening. Joker's wild is the old "Sloppy Joe's" race boat.

I think the Cajun Princess yacht in post 26 is Copelands.
The orange cat was parked outside "Club 10" with disco lights flashing on it Saturday night!
We saw Copelands turbine opening all their hatches right after they passed us and wondered what was up.I held a lighter like you would at a rock concert and they put on a good flame show for us.
Post some pics if you don't mind Cigracer28/38 especially any running shots you got in the East Pass or offshore. We couldn't get over there.

I would if I could. I lost my camera somewhere and didn't have it for the run. :( And I was driving. The Cajun Princess was Al's.

Great pics Jim & Tammy! Sorry we didn't get to meet. We were at AJ'S most of the weekend but were in "rare" form. ;)

cigracer - did all you okies make it back in one piece? Did delo break anything? Will you be at the shootout?

dhlaw 08-18-2003 04:31 PM

How fast was the "jokers Wild" boat???

We made it back ok. Delo has some stuff that's gonna need some attention on the Fountain. I need a few days to think about the Shootout. I will probably be at Grand. Ma and Pa may have picked up a new express cruiser. If I go to loto, then I probably wont bring a boat. I'll just kick it at the bar(s). I am worn smooooth out after that nonstop party. I will definitely be back next year.

d-klaw: Jokers Wild ran 120-122

If anyone else has any pictures please post them.We could not get close enough to the pass for the big air shots.I could see them in the binoculars but my camera didn't have enough zoom(hence the lack of close ups)!

Jokers Wild definitely had some "ballast" in the form of silicone. :D

WARPARTY36 08-19-2003 01:01 PM

All of the Okies are back home in one piece. We had a late night and are never coming back the way we did again:hothead: :hothead: :hothead: ! The concrete roads and 300 miles of construction wore us out pulling the 47'. The new Chevy dually with all of the after market parts is one BAD mother.:D :D :D That truck pulled the chit out of the 27,000 lbs. worth of boat and trailer. The scales on the lift that put the boat in the water were at 18,500. I knew it was heavy, but had no idea it was that heavy. The most speed I dropped pulling hills was 5 MPH.

Glad you made it ok bub. We went through Memphis and it was great. It took 14 hour exactly and the roads were much better than what you and I dealt with on the way down. Do you have my red Titlest hat by chance? Pleeease tell me you have the cowboy hat! It was in the back seat of the burb.

WARPARTY36 08-19-2003 01:20 PM

We went through Memphis and that was awful!!! We left Destin at 10:00 and I stopped in Ft. Smith at 1:30 this morning. I have all of your chit including your camera.

BLee 08-19-2003 01:25 PM

Really? Damn. We left the ramp at 10:30 and I was in bed at home at 12:30. Will you be at the lake this weekend?

Jassman 08-19-2003 03:31 PM

We had over 200 shots, but my camara took a sh*t, c'mon there has got to be more shots out there.:D

Jim and Tammy thank you for the pictures, and I am sorry we missed you down there. I know we had to be in the same place at the same time. I was in the 47' and that was our buddy's '04 Top Gun. That is one beautiful Cig, he is going to name it "Chaser"(his son's name is Chase).

Warparty,I saw you post last week you would be there and saw the Fountain a lot.Never saw anyone around the boat to talk to(probably bumped into ya'll at AJs a hundred times and never knew it).Next year look for the tall goofy guy and the short blonde gal taking pictures around all the docks (We will wear our OSO shirts). That Cig was a beauty. Can you talk your friend into leaving the keys in it next year? I'll top it back off with gas.:D
