I bet thats where they get those Chia pets you see on TV. Just add water and watch it grow> In our lake it just turns brown and has spider looking things on it . Also it will start growing something that looks like a Jelly fish on the bottom.

Timucin thats nasty

Not suprising at all. When I first got the Donzi I kept it in the water and cleaned it (swimming) once a week. Got old REAL fast and still when I'd pull it after a couple of months it looked like s***. When I bought the Formula I had to leave the Dozni in the water for 2 weeks while the second lift was installed, got covered with barnacles that took me a month of work to get fully removed (all the little sticker circles).

Gives a whole new meaning to "everything in the green..."

Tim:

Certain marine life actually thrives on wax, depending on the make-up of the wax. I'd experiment.

I also recommend wash-downs with a solution of Clorox, commonly referred to as "bleach." Make sure to rinse off any metal parts, because bleach can be corrosive.

There is no danger of explosion (else, just about any washer in the US would blow up.) It also doesn't harm paint if properly applied. A mild solution of bleach is commonly used to clean vinyl and to rid it of fungi. I use bleach every year on my house to rid the paint of mold, which is a fungus.

In warm weather waters, such as yours (plus the European heatwave,) there are only two real choices: bottom paint (yuck! ) or a lift.
