105 - These are going to be VERY pricey.

SO sorry about your dog.
I have never experienced anything more emotionally painful than putting down a good dog.

Sire goes MAYBE 130 lbs. Dams 105-110. Not particularly big dogs, but really incomparable bloodlines.
Already have a waiting list. Pics will follow.

Agreed - best breed in the world.

We have 4........ and I have owned or lived with at least a dozen over the years........ My girlfriend, Doreen, breeds and shows them and has competed at Westminster as well as other shows for the past 10-12 years. She is also a professional handler and shows dogs for other breeders as well.......when she's not operating her grooming business....Basically hers is a dog's life. ;)

Rotties are amazing..... but these weights are scary. The breed standard generally results in a show male at 110-130lbs...and a female at 90-100 lbs. Any Rottie over that is probably either overweight (which leads to premature hip issues and other health ailments) or over the breed limits as set by AKC. There is a school of owners who worship large size over all other traits in a Rottweiler....but that is not good for the breed in general...... nor does it help their already tarnished image (Vicious "Omen" Dogs). I find most of the big ones to be less agile and shorter lived than the ones within standard.

One other aside...... George Linder almost lost his life a few months ago going back into his burning house to rescue his ....... Rottweiler. That really typifies the George I know.

P.S. Doreen just found him a replacement pup.....who has moved in and taken over.

I had a rottie my self. I had to put him down 3 weeks ago, due to Mangio Sarcoma. Some kind of uncurable cancer. The vet diagnosed him last december and said he would make it two months, at best 6 months. He made it 7 months so he beat the odds.

that was truely one of the hardest things I had to do. We all miss him. They are great dogs!!

FYI......some of the victims of that disease respond VERY well to Chemo...... Doreen had one live for 3 years on a monthly dose....after diagnosis. It wasn't cheap...but he had good quality of life.

In my 25 years of Rottweiler ownership, my favorite was a female who NEVER weighed more than 85 pounds. She was born the runt of the litter. However, she grew into the most beautiful proportions, and was possessed of the kind of gentle measured temperament that makes the breed great.
She just died last year, at the ripe old age of 13. I still miss her.
