Mississippi River-Dubuque, IA and LaCrosse, WI Area

Anyone know how the water levels are in that area? I've heard rumors that the river is very low in those sections and that they've had some barges get stuck in the main channel? Was thinking about visiting that area for the weekend.

Thanks in Advance!!!

We are a little north of you in pools 4,5 and 5A. But I'm assuming the conditions are the same. The main channell is fine but beyond the be very cautious.

I won't be attending but I think 6 boats from our harbor will be heading to Praire Du Chein next weekend.

Dave-
We've been boating out of Savanna all summer long, and although the water is a little lower than usual, you should not have any problem running in the area. We'll be out there this weekend; not sure if we will run up to Dubuque or not.

Put this site in your favorites---- I've been using it for years as a reference on Miss conditions in our area.

Jafo, where do you usually "hang" around Savanna area?
