packinair and i were bringing one of chris reindl's batboats up to toledo from cinncinatti and we stoped for gas along the highway. we're standing next to the boat and this car pulls into the pump a few spaces down. guy shuts of engine and we here this "DAAAAAYUUUUUMMMMMM" . . .guy walks over, looks at the boat an says . . " whats dat do . . . bout 212" . . .now for the life of me i cant figure out where he cam up 212mph. our response was "212 . .213 . . whatever it takes" :D . . . . also for some reason he thought we needed 22 inch wheels on it and i'm not sure if he meant the boat or the trailer :rolleyes: . man i tell ya one thing, if your hobby is answering questions just pull one of these things around for a day. add no less than 15 minutes to any stop you make :cool: :cool:

Just about every time at the gas station is the same conversation.

A: Only two-legged Tuna!:D :D

Some people get it, some just get that stupid look on their face and nod like they understand. A few people have gone ahead and asked: What's a two-legged Tuna?:eek: :D

I've been asked too many stupid questions to remember, but here are a few recent ones:

Q. How fast does it go?
A. 85 with a small block, faster with more power.

To which they either say A.) That's all, seems like it would go like 200 or something. or B.) That's not very fast at all. My cousins brothers friends girlfriends baby's daddy has a bass boat that goes 95. :rolleyes:

Q. Do you race it?
A. Only on weekends I don't have a bass tournament :eek:

Let me remind you that a Reindl "batboat" is a full canopy race boat that isn't quite big enough for 2 people that has a big race number on the side with various other racing stickers all over it.

This came several time last weekend in Grand Haven

Q. Are you going to race in that race they're having this weekend?
A. No, Is there a race here this weekend? I was just filling up my race boat while wearing my race uniform in this town the same weekend a race was going on. :rolleyes: I've got a bass tournament this weekend. :p

There have been countless others, I just can't remember them all.

On the way back from LOTO this weekend we took the scenic (:rolleyes: ) route through a bunch of small towns on a rural highway. Roads like these are the BEST place for stupid questions at the gas stations!!

Common questions: How did you do at your last race? (because it says Playboy Cigarette Racing Team on the side)
Answer. We won.;)

Q2: How much does Playboy give you to race that boat?
A2: No money, but I can sleep with any playmate I want:D :D . Haven't actually said that yet, but I'm gonna some day!

Q3: How much does sumthin like that run ya?
A: Way more than it should. If they press the issue I ask them to disclose to me all THEIR pertinent financial info.

Q4: The all too common, "Can you water ski behind that thing?"
A: Only if you have a REALLY long rope and VERY big balls!!!

And as a Fountain owner........

"Is your boat sinking ?"

And "How long is it ? "

Which I reply " It's a 32' but every one says other 29 ' boats are longer ".
