No nothing special.....just make sure you have enough life jackets for all people onboard to go though the locks. (They must be worn while inside) Dont letgo of the wall ropes inside the locks till the "OK" horn is blasted. And the river is mostly No Wake through the city. Oh and the only other thing to watch out for is just after the Wacker St bridge on the left hand side is a fountain/waterfall type thing. On the top of every hour it shoots a stream of water across the whole river for 10min. If you dont want to get wet dont be under it!

The river is mostly no wake unless your tour boat...stay out of their way as they appear to have their own set of rules.

theres basicly only two places on the river......south branch marina that has a small food stand and deck.....and if you go on the north branch there's Slow Down...or is it called Lifes too short? anyway its a little ways past the old Wards building right at the Division bridge...they have great hot wings!

slow down is a great looking bar, it attracts good looking women, and im pretty sure it is open till 5 am on the weekends. fun place to go for night life boating. you can dock there and drink your own booze as well.
After, you can always crash on the boat, and avoid any legal trouble.

Yeah, the last time I went north of Wolf Point (Apparel Mart/Merchandise Mart), there was an old console television the size of a couch floating down the middle of the River.

Also, do not try to retrieve any cadavers without the authorities present.
