But I still have the Formula. My Formula is just a little too small for what we want to do.

I know 271's are slow to plane , but my 272(which is 1" shorter than a newer 292) with BB's comes out of the water as quick as any deep V.
Any body thats been in it , couldn't believe the ride for its size. Also , like other people have said , the customer support from Formula is GREAT. I needed some vinyl for my 1989. I called them... they asked for the HIN# and told me exactly what and how much I needed I didn't even tell them what colors...it was in their records.
The only complaint I have with mine is working on my BB's in a 27 footer , NO ROOM.
All that said , I'd definitely by another

Heavier boat than most foot for foot.... 6.2's 377's... 320 or 350hp Scorpians?? Scorpians will require high octane fuel... 320's will have good fuel economy.. Still nothing like the torque of a big block.... Quality is fabulous on the Formula, nice lines and they stand behind the product which you will pay for up front... I'm not big on the euro seats, then again I'm taller than most people... Cabins seem to be on the smaller side also, not sure where the room goes... but they are nicely done.... quality....

Formula is never the fastest on the water, due to their weight. But great build quality and ride quality. A Formula is like a floating Mercedes. Excellent factory support when you need info. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another Formula. Would be a step up from your Baja.

Thumbs up

My wife and I have a 2003 292 with the 6.2's and love it. I think that I might really like it better with the Scorpians. We boat in the Chesepeake bay, where it can, and does, get pretty lumpy out there, this boat runs and rides great. Huge step up from a baja, a lot more boat. Pricey though, but then again, you get what you pay for. Our next will be a Formula also, perhaps the 353.

Cap,
You have tabs??? Also , I'm sure your spacer on the trim rams is in the right place , right?
I know they tend to be a little a$$ heavy but it shouldn't be THAT bad
