Thumbs up Any good seat belt stories?

In 1998 Cigracer 28/38 and the dumba$$ driver walked away from this.(or at least stumbled) We saw the car before we heard how they were and expected the worst. Thankfully it turned out OK.

I'm sure he can embellish more, but they missed a curve at high speed and hit a tree 14' in the air. Spun around and hit a few more, then upside down in a shallow creek.

I am living proof of a seat belt.
When I was 18 I was taking my cousin to church and for some reason I put my seatbelt on. First time
I had done that since I got my license. Good thing I did. A lady crossed over into my lane and we hit head on. My car rolled. I only got cuts and bruises, the lady was not so lucky. She did not survive. I have worn my seat belt from that day on.

Yep, the seat belt saved my life.

The owner of the car had insisted on giving me a ride for quite sometime. I finally gave in. We were headed through a very windy road and he was going WAY too fast. I told him we wouldn't make the turn that was coming if he didn't shut it down. Instead, he replies with, "I just bought Z rated tires" and floors it INTO the turn. I felt us float off the road into a treeline. Next thing I remember, I was in the hospital surrounded by nurses and doctors. I would have been dead for sure without the belt on.
