What a tragedy for all parties involved One day in jail is too much, but the guy should have thought about that before he screwed up!
I hope he gets some soap-on-a-rope before he reports

The hit and run laws must be made WORSE that the DUI laws. As it is now , by running you at least beat one of the charges. I've seen it too many times , including a coworker out jogging
Worst part is , it's usually well-to-do , high profile people with penty of money to afford a good team of lawyers. Next comes the appology and tears...sorry I DON"T BUY IT! String him up
