Fever Mike,

I have a 1995 24 Outlaw with 550 hp and it runs 75 on GPS. It does not chine walk at all. It is rock solid at 65. It runs loose at 75 and so do all boats this size at their top speed.

As far as a stock boat goes, mine ran 61 on GPS with a stock 454 Mag. It takes alot of horsepower and the right setup to make these boats fast but they sure do love the rough stuff. I can usually outrun most guys with similar sized boats when it gets snotty, especially after I installed the K-Planes.

I'd agree with BigWavs. I've had my 24 for 9 years. I've had motors in it that would run high 60's to low 70's as well as the stocker that would run high 50's. I've never, not once, experienced any chine walking. But you do need good tabs, a good prop (they seem to like 4 blades better than 3 blades in my experience), and tight steering (hydraulic recomended). Fever Mike, if the Baja you drove chine walked at 65 mph it was NOT set up very well. My boat with the current power will run 64 most days and is ROCK SOLID at that speed.
