Go to your desktop and right click on the internet explorer icon then click on properties. Then make sure you are on the GENERAL tab (at the top) and you will see clear history. Hit that!

If your computer has gotten really slow there are several other things you need to do:

1) Clear out the TEMP folder on your C drive (make sure you save your wallpaper somewhere else because it may be in this folder)

2) Defragment your hard drive (if you have never done this it will help A LOT) If you have the updated windows98 or higher when you try to defragment it will tell you if you need to run scan disk first, if it tells you to; do so. If you have windows95 to the non-updated windows98 you need to run scan disk before you defragment your hard drive.

Look at picture below for directions!!

Be aware you will have to enter your passwords back in for all your sites. I did it a couple weeks ago, it's suprising the number of passwords you take for granted.

Oh, AOL, that explains it! I have no idea how to do anything with AOL. I've never used it. I imagine someone on this board has though!

I am not sure exactly how to fix your problem without the computer in front of me. I'm a hands on person. It sounds like you are using your AOL software for email and your internet browser. You should probably change to Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator (I suggest IE) and it will be easier in the future.

I wish I could help more. Sorry!!

Clearcut. Just by showing your screens you have given me complete control of your computer. HA let's see whats in there.

Just kidding

birddog, If you computer seems slow you might want to run some maintenence. Run a scandisk with the option to fix errors first. This will require a reboot if using winXP. If your computer seems to hang up a lot this could be the cause. After that is done you can run the disk cleanup and then do the disk defrag.

Let me know if I can help further
