I need some computer help
I just gave AOL the boot. Hated their service! Anyway, I picked up DSL and I'm MUCH happier now.:) Unfortunately, I'm having a problem now getting some pictures to load.
While installing DSL I ran into a problem with the software that was provided so I called their tech line. The guy's verified that the CD was bad and we did the install on-line. In order to get everything running the tech guy had me change all kinds of settings and I don't remember what he had me do. Tonight I realized that some pictures won't load, like when I try to look at pictures of items on auction at ebay. I just tried calling the tech line at SBC and they are now closed. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get me back on track. I'm assuming it's a security level that's changed, but I don't want to touch anything at this point without help. TIA! |
Yup, thats it.
Can you see photos on other sites? |
I can see some photos, like the ones on here. I can see some on ebay, but none of the individual auction pictures. On another forum I visit I cant see any pictures, just red "X"'s. It's driving me nuts!

I have been with AOL for 10 years or more and I just got upgraded to Broadband and it's super fast. I even do the wireless network so I can go anywhere in my house or office.
Besides they have 24 hr tech service and they have the most reliable e-mail service. |
It may not be you. to verify right click on the red X and click show picture. If it goes red x again it is the sites server and not you.
Hope it helps Roby |
I just figured it out. I upgraded to MS Internet Explorer 6 when I did the changeover. I have Win 98 and I guess there is a conflict with these two. I'm back to 5.0 and I can see again!
Thanks |
Glad it is working but I run 98 and 6.0 with no trouble. Probably reset your settings when you reloaded or went back to 5.0. Any way it is working!!
