Getting married in Florida?

1 Attachment(s)
I'm heading to Florida in November (Orlando) for a work convention. Planning on taking an extra few days and going to Treasure Island and getting married on the beach. It's a second marriage for us both so we want something simple. We originally planned this for Feb. of this year - but work got in the way, and we couldn't take the time off.
Any info on where to go to get a marriage license and what papers we need??
Anyone know someone that can marry us? - I'm Catholic, don't know what I'm getting into with the church and a second marriage...
What should I expect as far as weather around that time of year?
Where would be a good place on the beach?
Any suggestions would be a big help - and everyone is invited.
There won't be a reception, but I figure a party will probably break out!!!!

Congrats, in Florida I believe that any notary can do the job.

does anyone know of a notary I can get a hold of to schedule this??
Not to make this sound like a little thing, but we've been together for 4 years - living as married - and just want to make it official and have a nice time.
To find a woman like this that puts up with me.... - I'm a very lucky man!

By Treasure Island, I am assuming you mean in St. Pete? The weather is unpredictable that time of year. Could be really chilly, or could be quite warm. Last year was a really cold winter. Pass-a-Grille is just a bit farther down from Treasure Island, and it's very nice as well, down by the Don CeSar hotel.

As for notary's, there is enough representation on this board from Pinellas County (where St. Pete is) that someone has got to know one. I know of several in Hillsborough County......

Good Luck with everything, and best wishes!

Dirty Race Girl - Thanks
I was born down in Treasure Island (yes - outside St. Pete) and have been wanting to move there - again.
Work has us both stuck in KY for a little while, but we intend to move there in the next few years.
It's a shame how work can dictate your life.

Anybody out there that can legally marry us in Florida??

Been there done that! Congratulations! The county courthouse where you buy your license will probably have a list of people that do beach weddings.Research online for beach weddings in the area and you may find people that way too.We used this site for all info on license etc.http://beachweddings.com/

Look in the yellow pages under mariages or weddings. The weather is getting cool by then, and is usually breezy that time of year. Sunset Beach would be a good place to have it. Sunset is part of Treasure Island.
