I think the topic of this thread has been covered. Nothing good can come from leaving it open.........

VELOCITY MARK,

SO YOU HAVE NEVER HAVE BEEN TO FORMULA, FOUNTAIN, OUTERLIMITS, SEA RAY BAYLINER, OR MANY OTHER THAT WOULD KILL A WINSTON CUP TEAM.

Ok Treadwellmotorsports I'll tell you what, I have been to a few race shops and I will post some pictures from the inside to compare to, oh lets say the Bayliner shop you are talking about. Here are my pictures lets see yours.

My point Treadwell was that the impression that you may get when you visit a boat manufacture is generally not as dust free or clean as a Winston Cup race shop. In my opinion one of the finest boats built is a Cigarette, but the factory that I saw before the new one was far from a Winston Cup shop. The boats are where they put there craftsmanship, not the facility. And the Velocity factory, for a company that builds less than 80 boats a year is more than adequate.

Sort of a shame all this conjecture before Jo had a chance to post.
I have been in contact with Jo over the last year about the purchase of a new or used 28. He made it very clear to me about ordering one during their busiest time in spring and maybe not getting it for the season. I chose to purchase a 2002 used and keep getting help from Jo just like I got it from him.
Awesome boat. Awesome support!

Happy Birthday Jo

I just toured the Skater factory....more like Boeing than Nascar.

just my .02

I JUST RECENTLY PURCHASED A USED PANTERA FROM A DEALER IN FLORIDA. I WAS TOLD BY SOME OTHER RACERS TO CALL JO BEFORE I PURCHASED THE BOAT TO GET A HISTORY, HE NOT ONLY GAVE ME THE HISTORY BUT HE GOT IN HIS CAR AT 7PM AT NIGHT AND DROVE 1 HR TO LOOK AT THIS BOAT FOR ME AND SPENT ANOTHER HOUR GOING THROUGH IT . THERE WAS NOTHING IN IT FOR HIM!!!!!! I CAN'T THINK OF ANY MANUFACTURER (OWNER) THAT WOULD DO THAT AS A FAVOR . JO WE LOVE OUR PANTERA, AND WE'RE LOOKING FORWARD TO OUR NEXT RACE IN MD.

THANKS AGAIN

Just some free advice to anyone looking to buy a custom built boat. Perfection takes time and yes, sometimes longer than expected. But for a 28 foot offshore barnstormer like the Pantera 28, its well worth the wait. You get a hell of a lot of boat for the money and the Nunez family does the best they can to make sure their customers are happy in the end.
Dont order a boat in April. Order it in September and give them all the time they need to make the boat.

Anyway....nuff said. Lets move on
