Shane,
It would be great to see you race the 24 ft Skater with OPA...and with the right water conditions, I bet you would be pretty competitive too in either P2 or P3.I understand your frustration with the state of offshore powerboat racing; but the individuals that manage the sport are going to do what they are going to do.Hopefully, someday they will get it right.

Does anybody have the final results in all classes? It seems to be kinda hush , hush. Were the minimum number of boats met and did everybody get paid? Since there was no TV and no Sanction - it seems like alot of hardware was torn up for nothing. I'm glad all racers survived with minimum injuries. BH

"A field of 75 to 80 world-class powerboats, including a minimum of 23 Super Series boats, is expected to compete for high-speed titles in the Key West Offshore Worlds scheduled for Monday through Sunday, Nov. 17th -23rd."

It was interesting the number of team shirts I saw that weren't racing. Maybe they just came down to enjoy the weekend or maybe to scout the event??
There's something about Key West

Hey I thought it was pretty good.
The second race sunday with the Super cat and SCL was pretty good. Lots of action.
Despite the "situation" I think the rac was pretty good.
My main suggestion.... DOCKAGE. We went by boat, but couldn't find anywhere to tie up and come to the pits!
All they needed was a few more floating docks in the Mole....
