A few days ago I posted my concern over leaving my boat on the lift w/ Isabel on the way. The following day, Wednesday, I rec'd a call from Eric offering me his trailer. I never met or spoke w/ Eric before. I took him up on his offer and picked up his trailer later in the day. He wasn't home. He didn't ask me for anything and knew nothing more than my first name and my cell #. This morning I took the boat and trailer over to the travel lift but unfortunately, b/c my boat in not stepped, the boat would not sit right and I had it placed on blocks/stands. I returned the trailer back earlier today and finally met him. He is one heck of a nice guy. A world champion racer and a world class guy!
This board is not only one heck of an informational source but also a place where great people are met. I truly appreciate this act of Eric. I just hope my boat stays safe and I can get it back in the h2o by saturday.

Eric has helped OSO and numerous members on several occassions. Good guy.

eric was always a fierce competitor, and a good guy, i miss racing against him.
