Out of total frustration I felt some comedy must be added to a sad situation. The last time I was in Key West was 10 years ago. I had planned on going this year, obviously not now. I have cancelled my plans due to not knowing if indeed I will be at the correct venue.

My suggestion is that they ALL be cancelled until resolution is had.

As a Offshore Boater, purveyor and innovator to the Marine Industry, advertiser and supporter of the Sport of Offshore Racing and Performance Powerboating, I find it hard to "keep the faith" this year.

I'll be in Orange Beach, Alabama for the APBA Worlds.

If I wasn't moving in November and had other work issues, I'd probably go to Deerfield Beach, FL too for the SBI worlds.

The "Lee Mills" Key West Worlds are a distant distant third place behind the other two that are sanctioned by organizations that actually ran a series the rest of the year.

I am riding with a friend in a 47, and there should be room for the day runs, but we will have to see. We Okies will have 5 or 6 boats in the run, and will probably be full from Miami to Key West. Since the day runs are short we may be able to take a few people. I will see what I can do. Stu puts on a great event with the poker run, and there will be some beautiful hardware. If all else fails, we need to hook up at a fine beverage establishment.
