It is hard to believe or have any faith in when they can't spell!! The address..on LeJuene ..that's the road that runs in front of the Miami International Airport..that's a great area for crook, pirates and questionable people without proper documentation...

Did some checking....looks like the administrative contact, Philippe Fretel might have something to do with Key Biscayne Boat Rentals. If so, small credentials for such an ambitious event....

$10 million is what ruined it for me. If it said one million I might have had more faith that this was real.

Hey, I hope it happens, I love that reality TV stuff.

So, heres the way it goes. They have everyone pay to run, they film the run and then if they can sell the finished product to a network, the winner of the race gets 10 million, providing they sell it for 20 million. If it never gets airtime, no payout.

Of course I made that up Now who is this Fretel guy?

I tried both numbers listed above for Mr. Fretel and got answering machines at each number. I left a message but haven't gotten a response yet.

We've got some real bloodhounds on this board. If I hear anything I'll report back.

hhhhmmmmmmmm......

I am concerned about the legitimacy of this one. I am all for races like they were back when, but, I have the same questions as everyone else, like, "Why haven't we heard about this before", "Who is fronting the 10 mil". If there was anywhere in the world you would post this it would be OSO, not some press release with poor spelling. Who are the sponsors fronting the cash?

Things that make you go hhhmmmm.....

But if it is true, thats pretty cool!

yes I did, but it was a $1,000,000.00 winner take all challenge type post to get 10 teams to put up $125,000.00 to $150,000.00 entry fee to pa the purse and use the extra entry fees to pay for all of the incidentals and other fees. Mine was not affiliated with this post but if it's for real I will be robbing the local bank and racing while out on bond.
