Looks to be a clean 12 meter....

Seems a little bit pricey, but its a dealer boat. Anyone know the boat?

Might make someone a great ride for next year...

Yeah kinda pricey for a sloooow boat. Is Fountain ever going to redesign their dash?

BLee 09-24-2003 09:00 AM

Good god! look at the price for their 30 Mystique! http://www.raymondsboats.com/n_1256.htm

Yea, they are kinda weird about their prices, it's been like that forever!! They had a NEW (never sold) 1994? 43ft scarab and never lowered the advertised price!! It was at $210,000.00 until at least 1998 or 1999!!!

Big Thunder is kinda like that to.... They had that 4 engine Skater advertised for $499,000.00 forever!!! Like a couple of years!!!

I would think that they would want to at least lower the price a grand or two just to show they are willing to deal. When I see the same price on a boat for a long time it makes me think they don't want to budge on the price and that they aren't in a real hurry to sell it!!

Or spend some money on new steering wheels.

Yikes

For 200k, I could come up a ton of boats that I'd rather have.

Thats for sure. It's not even the T/S Mystique. All of their stuff is so overpriced that it is almost offensive.

The 12meter has been around loto for many years at least 10-12 years i believe it originally had a arch almost all early 12meters had side by side seating i have seen one 90 and one 93 with side by side seating on the platform boats and that s all. raymonds does like to hold on to their boats, i dont think they floor plan much and therefore their not paying interest, you talked about the mystique hell they still have a brand new 35 top gun that i believe is a 98 or 99 what ever year they only made 8-10 35 topguns. i ordered 2 boats from raymonds and both i felt i got an exceptional deal one. i tried to buy a 93 black thunder from them in 94 they were asking 96,000 i offered 89,000 and charlene the owner told me the good lord told her that she would get 96,000 for the boat ( she and raymond her husband are very religous ) i responded to her did the good lord tell you who it was because it wasnt me. they finally sold the black thunder about 7 years later for 86,000, the 95 43 scarab mention up above finally sold last year i believe around 150's raymond had to warranty the motors mercury would not even though it was a brand new boat with new motors. the 43 had 450hps which are 454 roller cam motors and had tiger strpe graphic, it is on loto now,

How do they stay in business?

RollWithIt 09-24-2003 08:00 PM

Suckers are a dime a dozen.

mpally 09-24-2003 08:49 PM

They stay in business because they are the Fountain dealer at LOTO. They sell enough Fountians to keep them going.

later 09-24-2003 09:06 PM

actually they stay in business because Raymond owns most all of gravois mills and rents it out even the post office rents thier building from raymond. at one time raymonds boats was a large boat dealer loto with popular brand boats scarab , fountain late 80's early 90's and sold most of the sport boats on the lake. around 96-97 fountain said you have to decide weather to sell fountains are scarabs ( fountains largest competetor at the time ) they picked fountains, charlene used to be the #1 salespearson for fountain ( she is about late 70's year old now, go figure. doesnt take a genius, most all the sales went through with her name on them not the salesmans name. Me coming from a automotive dealership background Raymonds had at one time all the pieces to be a dominating force in the offshore boat business at loto, if it just was managed properly, classic example of the times passing you by. they simple dont want to change.
