Also, what kind of trailer is Charlie have? The drive guard looks different than most I've seen with trailers. Is that a strap of the transom of the boat or some type of brace for added support?

Luv, I do not know the trailer make. That is a strap on the back, not a support. THe trailer is insane. It probably weighs more than the boat!!
