somebody needs to start a website. Ramp humor dot com:D

There should be a website with webcams all over the country on boat launches. We'd never have to watch the Worlds' Funniest Home Movies again.

LOL! That's too funny. :D
Sounds like any given Sunday on any given ramp in anytown USA!

Boat launching, the next Great American Spectator Sport. ;)

Where I launch there is a place right across from the ramp people set up chairs on to watch all the "action" from. It is a man made canal so the viewing is very close and nice to watch.

New spectator sport huh? Wonder if I could fill up my trunk with beer and make some money?

Hey Chris, how are you?

glassdave 09-30-2003 12:48 PM

packinair and I had the first two docks right at our marinas ramp. fri/sat/sun nights were never dull. and boy lemmie tell ya. . . holiday weekends required extra beer for people watching.

at a friends marina i was talking to a customer and this guy was launching his 27 foot searay cuddy cruiser from his trailer. we were just adjacent to the ramp and the guy backs out gets crossed up in a light wind panics and ends up smashing into my friends topgun. he than procedes to try an dock it in an open slip across the channel. ends up sideways in that an doing more dammage.all this mind you with 5 people on board not one of which made any effort to help from the boat. guy finally gets docked walks over to apologize and make araingments for repair to my friends boat. turns out it was his first boat and his first time out with it. unfortunate situation for my friend but atleast this guy did the right thing and took care of it.
